Beware of "UNLIMITED" disk space, data transfer, and email storage !

Unlimited disk space, data transfer, and email storage are sometimes offered at an extremely low rate with fine print that clarifies the term “unlimited” with the following limitations:

 “Unlimited Disk Space”:
You can create as large a site as you like, but they will place some constraints on how fast you can grow. In other words, you can add as much content as you want, but maybe not all at once.  Also you may be flagged if you take up too much of the host server’s resources because a customer's web site usage may adversely affect the performance of other customers' sites.  This is certainly not “Unlimited” disk space.  You will have to go with another more expensive plan if you get "too big", but you may not know what “too big” is.

“Unlimited Data Transfer”:
In most cases, if you use their service “appropriately”, visitors to your web site will be able to download and view as much content from your site as they like. However, in certain circumstances, server processing power, server memory, or anti-abuse controls could limit downloads from your site.  Is that… “Unlimited”?
You can also upload as much as content as you like each month, subject only to the rules that control how fast your site can grow (see above).

“Unlimited Email Storage”:
Unlimited email storage gives normal email account users like yourself an opportunity to not have to worry about hitting a storage limit. You can save your correspondence and never worry about having to delete older messages to make room for more.  Using an account primarily as an online storage space for archiving electronic files is prohibited.  Usage that suggests this approach gets flagged and you will have to switch to some other plan.
So what does "unlimited" mean in this case, really?  It means you may be getting more limitations than you want and you may not really know what you are getting for your money.

You can allocate this space any way you'd like for email, files, web pages, images, etc...

Bandwidth is the amount of data that gets transferred between the server and the
computers that people use to view your website or receive your email.
